As this issue is hitting the shelves we are heading to Bauma 2025 to see the latest the global earthmoving and construction industry has to offer at the largest trade show on earth. We have stories in this issue from Australia, Europe and America which includes a look at how Komatsu Mining produce a PC4000 face shovel, A new Cat 395 that utilises the innovative Sleipner system to move about a U.K. quarry and an Australian contractor running a fleet of Cat equipment on a Sydney suburban development, plus many more stories.

Our cover story highlights Caterpillar ® ’s 100th anniversary celebrations which coincide with Bauma 2025. Cat will be displaying 48 machines over their 9000m2 stand, showcasing their new D8 dozer, prototype 140AWD grader, new MH3032 material handler, M323 next gen wheeled excavators and a prototype 775 haul truck.

It’s already been confirmed that Komatsu will display a massive electrically powered PC7000-11E in backhoe configuration with a 44m3 bucket along with the new WA700-8wheel loader. We’ll be on the Komatsu stand to bring you content on these giants during the show week.

As always the show is dominated by Liebherr’s huge stand which showcases the company’s diverse portfolio from foundation equipment to mining machines. Highlights to see on the stand are the three largest G8 dozers from PR776 down to PR756. At the mining end of things Liebherr will display an electric R9400 excavator and battery electric T-264 haul truck.

Hitachi will be on the 4000m2 FN.716 stand with more than 30 machines to see, ranging from 1 to 120 tonnes. This includes mini and compact excavators, wheel loaders, with specialist excavators such as the ZX350LC-7with clamshell telescopic arm.

Volvo is back with indoor and outdoor stand space and will be premiering a new zero-emission machine at the show. The Swedish manufacturer will also debut an updated electric EC230 excavator that boasts all day operation which is double its predecessor. It’s shaping up to be a great show. See you there!
