RISING STAR
However, what if you could use your existing excavator, loader or skid steer to transform these liabilities into assets? Well, UK-based Gyru-Star offer an attachment that can do just that, with their industry-leading range of Compact Screening Systems.
Built using flexible polyurethane stars, Gyru-Star screening buckets can screen material without crushing, shredding or tearing, making them a true screening solution. This has allowed them to be used for a much wider range of applications than just screening, including mixing, blending and spreading material.
Gyru-Star screening buckets are especially popular in the renewable energy field, thanks to their ability to massively reduce material costs by recycling trench arisings into padding material, for underground cables and pipelines. Furthermore, by combining the screening and backfilling processes into a single operation, there can be considerable time savings.
In Sweden, the screening buckets are mostly used on long-distance power cables, many of which are in remote areas. Here the cost savings are even higher, as the sites are not always easily accessible for material deliveries.
Across the border in Denmark, they are being used in more urban settings on geothermal energy projects, creating padding for water pipes. In these settings Gyru-Star's poly-stars and carbon belt drive come into their own, as they are far quieter than their chain driven counterparts.
Over in the sunnier deserts of Arizona, Gyru-Star screening buckets are seeing extensive use on large scale solar farm projects. With miles of high-voltage cables to bury, it's not long before the buckets pay for themselves in material costs alone. Coupled with the minimal running and maintenance costs, many operators have found they can’t afford not to invest in one of these attachments.
With one of the most extensive ranges of screening buckets in the industry, it doesn’t matter what machines you have on site. Gyru-Star offer models for excavators from 1-30 tons (2200-52800 lbs) and loaders from 1-15 tons (2200-22000 lbs). This also includes compact tractors and loaders, telehandlers, skid steers and backhoe loaders.
Coupled with a Kustom Konnect dual-interface, all the models in Gyru-Star's HDX and MAX ranges are compatible with both excavators and loaders. This ensures maximum versatility on the jobsite.
The Gyru-Star brand has been around since 2010, fast forward to the present, and Gyru-Star Compact Screening Systems are now one of the biggest names in screening attachments. As part of their ongoing global expansion, they recently launched a new website for the North American market.
This is a collaboration between Gyru-Star and their North American distributors, Ransome Attachments in New Jersey, AU Equipment in Arizona, and Shaw Bros in Ontario. You can find out more about this new venture by visiting their website: www.gyru-star-northamerica.com
