EDITOR'S WELCOME
The July/August issue of Awesome Earthmovers contains 15 original and exclusive site and manufacturing facility visits all undertaken by ourselves. These visits span from California to Switzerland and Texas to the Czech Republic.
All these visits are backed up by video and photography which is used to promote the articles and our partners on our social media platforms.
Awesome Earthmovers Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube each individually now have well over 1 million followers with our LinkedIn and the newly launched Threads having tens of thousands of followers additionally.
With issue 20 we have the story on the Heavy Metal Garden in Switzerland which has recently purchased an 800 tonne Komatsu PC8000 mining excavator to display to the public. A teaser video for the story posted on our instagram account has so far garnered 88.8 million views, with its counterparts on TikTok and Facebook having 46.9 million views and 9.8 million views respectively.
We attended the Volvo Day’s event in May at their Eskilstuna, Sweden Customer Center to see their latest product line up which include new excavators, an expanded fleet of mid size electric machines and new rigid haulers in the 60 and 70 tonne class.
This issue sees us visit Amy Underwood AKA 'The Digger Girl' in Scotland to see her new Kobelco SK28SR mini excavator.
We call in with Bracken Recycling in San Antonio, Texas to see their set of Shearcore manufactured Fortress Shears. Blumer Lehmann show us their Sennebogen 835G at their Sawmill in Switzerland while Agromin show off their CBI Magnum Force 6800CT Horizontal Grinder at their California recycling facility.
On the front cover, we feature our recent visit to the Rokbak factory in Motherwell to explore the cutting-edge technology, innovative advancements, and new sustainability efforts involved in building the new Rokbak RA40 articulated dump truck..
