DEMO DAYS 2024
Bobcat Demo Days 2024, held from May 21 to June 5, was a significant event for the construction, heavy equipment, and mining industries. Over 700 customers, dealers, suppliers, and journalists from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) gathered at Bobcat’s Dobříš campus in Czechia to experience Bobcat’s extensive equipment lineup and cutting-edge innovations.
SHOWCASING BOBCAT’S EQUIPMENT PORTFOLIO
Attendees engaged with an array of equipment, including material handling units, skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers, and more. The event highlighted the TL25.60e electric telehandler concept, the RogueX2 concept loader, Operator Presence technology, the Pedestrian Detection Camera, and next-generation Digital Access software.
Jan Moravec, Vice President of Product at Bobcat EMEA, emphasized the event’s significance: “Bobcat Demo Days 2024 allowed visitors to gain first-hand experience with our latest innovations, products, attachments, and services. These invitation-only events are among the most anticipated fixtures in our annual calendar.”
CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATIONS
The TL25.60e electric telehandler concept was a major attraction, featuring three electric motors for maximum efficiency, a hydrostatic transmission, and a top speed of 25 km/h. The RogueX2 concept skid-steer loader, an autonomous and all-electric model, offered a glimpse into the future of loader technology.
Bobcat’s transparent OLED (T-OLED) screen technology, developed with LG and BSI Research, enables operators to access various functionalities without taking their eyes off the worksite. This technology facilitates advanced applications like real-time virtual reality (VR) simulations for utility line mapping.
ENHANCING SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY
The Operator Presence technology leverages a 3D timeof-flight (ToF) camera to monitor users' movements and the cabin environment, enhancing safety by preventing unintended machine actions. The Pedestrian Detection Camera uses AI-enabled processing capabilities to differentiate between humans and surroundings, reducing unnecessary operator alerts.
Bobcat’s Digital Access software allows operators to use smartphones as ‘keys’ to specific machines, providing an alternative to traditional passcode entry. This innovation ensures units understand user preferences and enables fleet owners to lock out certain functionalities based on employee skill sets.
HANDS-ON WITH BOBCAT’S LATEST MACHINES
Bobcat Demo Days 2024 featured recently introduced machines, including the M-Series S630 and S650 Stage V skid-steer loaders, developed for European markets. These models featured Bosch fuel-injection systems, delivering superior performance while adhering to strict emission regulations.
The event also showcased Bobcat’s new lineup of rotary telehandlers, designed for European and Middle Eastern/ African markets, and the PG40 and PG50 generators, offering advanced portable power solutions. The PA12.7v compressor, a versatile portable variable pressure compressor, was also displayed.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY
Bobcat Demo Days 2024 offered an unprecedented opportunity for attendees to experience the company’s full equipment lineup in one place. Jan Moravec added, “We were immensely excited to welcome our guests to Dobříš this year. They had an unprecedented opportunity to get hands-on time with Bobcat’s newly expanded range.”
