1951, Varsseveld, The Netherlands; Dutch entrepreneur Johan Kramp founded a small distribution company primarily for the export and import of agriculture parts. 75 years later Kramp supply 4000 different brands across 24 different European countries.

Now offering over 500,000 different parts and a multitude of services Kramp are one of Europe’s largest and most reliable parts providers.

UK Construction professionals will get their first glimpse at Kramp at this year’s PlantWorx after their much-anticipated move into the sector.

Kramp will be attending PlantWorx for the first time this year. Visitors can find the Kramp team at Stand DB-16, where a selection of products, expert advice, and exclusive offers await, says Leo Copping, Kramp field sales manager.

The Kramp stand’s standout feature will be its container display, offering a hands-on look at some of their solutions for construction professionals. Key highlights include technical sprays, its range of LED lights and light bars.

“We will also have the Kramp Workshop Solutions display,” says Leo. “This is a connected workshop storage system, which allows users to easily restock items by scanning a barcode using the Kramp app. It saves users time, and therefore money.”

Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to win £3,000 worth of the workshop racking. In addition, anyone who signs up for a Kramp account will be entered into a draw to win £1,000 of Kramp credit to spend across their extensive range of products.

Leo adds: “Different accounts are available to businesses of all sizes, with direct accounts all backed up with our dedicated product support. By offering next-day delivery, a vast product portfolio, and access to key industry brands, Kramp is committed to helping customers maximise efficiency and profitability.

“The expert team will be on hand throughout the event to offer advice, discuss partnership opportunities, and demonstrate how Kramp can support your business. Plus, free bulldozer air fresheners will be available for all visitors to the stand – just one of the many reasons to stop by and say hello.”

CESAR Scheme - Helping Plant Machinery Users and Police Tackle Theft.

Plant machinery theft remains a persistent challenge for the construction industry, costing businesses millions of pounds annually and causing disruption to vital infrastructure projects.

The official CESAR Scheme, owned by the Construction Equipment Association(CEA) and powered by Datatag IDtechnologies, is playing a critical role in turning the tide, providing machinery users with robust protection while supporting police in recovering stolen assets and prosecuting offenders. The CESAR Scheme works by giving every registered machine a unique, permanent identity through a combination of visible and covert marking technologies.

Each system includes tamper-evident ID plates, RFID transponders, microscopic Datadots® and forensic DNA -creating a multi-layered protection that criminals cannot easily remove. The now iconic visible warning triangular plates act as a powerful deterrent, while the hidden technologies give police indisputable evidence of ownership, even if thieves attempt to disguise or alter the machine’s ID. This means greater peace of mind and reduced risk of costly downtime.

Viki Bell, CEO of the CEA, recently commented “The CESAR Scheme has become an essential tool in the fight against plant machinery theft. It protects livelihoods, safeguards the machinery that underpins our construction industry, and gives criminals fewer places to hide.”

Police forces nationwide have been trained to use Datatag’s RAPID app, enabling officers to identify CESAR-marked equipment quickly and securely at the roadside. This not only increases the likelihood of recovering stolen machinery but also strengthens the ability to bring prosecutions against organised criminal gangs. As theft tactics evolve, the CESAR Scheme continues to demonstrate its effectiveness. By combining advanced technology, industry collaboration, and law enforcement support, it provides a vital line of defence - protecting plant machinery users and helping police make rural and urban worksites safer and more secure.

THE RISE OF INNOVATIVE SKID STEER LOADERS
As we navigate the construction landscape of 2025, the international market continues to grapple with challenges such as escalating cost pressures, labour shortages, and the complexities of fixed-bid projects. These factors significantly impact construction equipment manufacturers and owners. However, advancements in construction equipment, particularly smart skid steer loaders, are paving the way for innovative solutions to these challenges. Skid steer loaders, commonly referred to as "skid steers," are compact and versatile machines integral to various construction stages. Their differential steering capabilities provide exceptional manoeuvrability, allowing operators to interchange traditional bucket attachments with specialized tools like augers, cutters, plows, forks, and more. This adaptability enables end users to perform a wide range of tasks efficiently, especially in confined spaces.
