EDITOR'S WELCOME

We are fresh back from the world’s largest mining exhibition, MINExpo 2024, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in September and needing to cool off from the 100f/40c heat of the Nevada desert. There’s a short summary of the expo in this issue and a plethora of footage from the show on our social platforms.

On the cover of this issue we have MRD Plant’s new ALLU DH 4-17 screening bucket. So far the company’s Managing director has been very pleased with it, stating, “The ALLU screening bucket is so much more efficient, productive and less expensive than bringing a mobile crushing plant on to the work site.”

We visited WesTrac Cat in Australia at their massive Tomago, New South Wales facility for a tour during their 20th anniversary year of taking on the Cat dealership for NSW/ACT. The dealership caters for both the mining and construction sectors in New South Wales with huge machines such as 994 wheel loaders and D11 dozers being a common sight in the yards that surround the building.

If wheeled excavators are your forte we have the story on Irish contractor, Murphy Civil Engineering’s new Hydrema MX18G with Steelwrist in custom black and red livery with MittX light bars supplied by SType X.

We travelled to South-East Germany to see Sennebogen’s 355E telehandler at a waste processing facility. One of the stand-out features of the 355E is the elevating cab which gives operators unparalleled vision from up to 4.25 metres high. Read all this and over a dozen more original and exclusive site visits spanning the globe.
