HOOKED ON INNOVATION

When it comes to the safe and efficient movement of materials and concrete on-site, it’s not just the heavy machinery that matters – it’s the attachments that make them work smarter. Conquip Engineering Group, a trusted partner for RC Frame, Groundworks & Civils, Tier 1 and Infrastructure contractors, is leading the way in developing smart, safety-focused attachments that transform everyday plant into multi-functional machines.

At the heart of Conquip’s innovation is a commitment to solving real-world challenges. According to Group Director George Critchley, contractors are increasingly focused on three key areas: improving site logistics, enhancing safety, and reducing emissions and costs. Attachments, whether for cranes, excavators, or forklifts, are playing a vital role in meeting these priorities.

Effective attachments share several qualities: clever engineering based on site feedback, robust and reliable materials, and regular maintenance routines that ensure longevity and safety. Conquip integrates all these principles into its design and manufacturing process, resulting in equipment that doesn’t just perform – it excels.

One notable example is Conquip’s recently launched safety-led attachments for crane-lifted concrete skips. Designed to eliminate the final lift where operatives would normally be positioned underneath a suspended load, these innovations have quickly gained traction across Tier 1 contractor sites. The result is a significant improvement in safety during concrete pours and a noticeable reduction in concrete waste.

Two other key developments are the Fork Mounted Hook and Forklift Crane Arm, which effectively transform forklifts or telehandlers into mobile cranes. This enables groundworkers to maximise the use of existing equipment, cutting down on the need for crane hire, reducing CO₂ emissions, and saving on operational costs.

For smaller sites or projects where concrete is poured at low levels, Conquip’s Excavator Pouring Bucket provides a clean, efficient, and low-waste alternative to traditional concrete skips. Designed to attach directly to an excavator, it simplifies the process and keeps sites neater and more organised.

As the construction industry continues to evolve, the demand for safer, smarter, and more sustainable solutions grows louder.

Conquip Engineering Group is clearly tuned into that demand, not just by developing cutting-edge attachments, but by understanding the practical challenges contractors face daily. From minimising risk on-site to maximising equipment utility, it’s clear that innovation in attachments isn’t just a bolt-on – it’s a game changer.
