WELCOME
We’re not long back from Bauma 2025 and barely have had time to rest our weary legs before diving into another issue of the magazine. On the cover of this issue we have Steelwrist who like many great technology companies grew out of a humble garage close to Stockholm, Sweden. At Bauma Steelwrist introduced state-of-the-art new generation XTR15 and XTR23 tiltrotator models, with a big focus on the SQ40 automatic coupler technology for excavators below seven tonnes.
The greatest show on Earth didn’t disappoint with manufacturers using the tri-annual construction and mining equipment extravaganza to show off equipment great and small. Highlights were Komatsu’s electric PC7000 which dominated the show ground and Hitachi’s Landcros One concept for the future of excavators. Read a review of the show in this issue of the magazine.
We travelled to Phoenix, Arizona to check out ALLU screening buckets on a pipeline project. The buckets supplied by Ozzies Inc are used to produce padding to protect newly laid pipelines.
From the desert to a swampy construction site in Southern Germany, we have the story on a PowerBully 12D tracked dumper where rental customers are giving fantastic feedback on the machines capabilities in muddy rural and forestry applications.
In Melbourne, Australia we called with Montdami Constructions, a family-owned business involved in the civil construction and urban development industry across Greater Melbourne since 1976. The company has a good relationship with local dealer, William Adams Cat, which has resulted in them having a 75% Cat fleet. Read these stories and more in this issue.
