ANOTHER UK MILESTONE
Rototilt UK has reached a new milestone in its journey of expansion. The appointment of three more new dealers In England means the company’s network now covers the whole of the UK and Ireland.
Road Rail Plant Ltd based in Kent, Southern Plant Solutions Ltd in Hertfordshire and G C Overton Services in the Midlands join the Rototilt UK family, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, and high standards of customer support for Rototilt’s extensive range of tiltrotators which come with a full two year warranty.
Commented Rototilt UK Distributor Development Manager Andy Little: “We have used Road Rail Plant for a number of years as a service provider as we had no official distribution coverage in that area. It was ultimately a simple choice to bring them on board as a full distributor. They are a great addition to our distribution network with a lot of industry knowledge and experience. We all look forward to working with them in moving forward.”
Road Rail Plant is a family run business located at Sittingbourne in Kent, where they offer a huge range of products and services and are regarded as a key service provider to some of the biggest machinery and rail plant operators in the UK.
Also welcomed to the Rototilt UK family is Southern Plant Solutions, based in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. It is also a family run business that offers bespoke hydraulic systems and market leading safety equipment throughout the UK and Ireland.
Commented Southern Plant Solutions Ian Angell: “Rototilt is a perfect fit for our business and the majority of our customers used tilt rotators so we were gaining lots of experience servicing and maintaining. We could see the market growing in the UK and wanted to be able to offer our customers a premium product.
We are finding high end operators and companies are choosing Rototilt over other brands on the market.”
Meanwhile, having spent the last four years working for Rototilt, George Overton has taken on the distributorship for the Midlands region, trading under the name G C Overton Services Ltd. “My experience with different makes of tiltrotators stretches back eight years, and in my opinion the Rototilt is the best, so when I decided to go out on my own it made perfect sense to build my business around the brand.”
He adds: “It’s early days, but I believe there is a lot of potential going forward. The Rototilt brand has much to recommend it. It is very popular with operators and I am confident I can build a good customer base in the months and years ahead.”
Strategically Located
Operating from strategically located facilities in Warrington, northwest England, which enjoys good transport links throughout the UK and Ireland, Rototilt offers fast access to spare parts for its expanding dealer network and its customers.
Since the first Rototilt tiltrotator was launched on to the market in 1986, the brand has grown rapidly in popularity and today the Swedish manufacturer produces a comprehensive range designed for excavators from 1.5 tonne right up to 43 tonne, the largest having been launched in Spring 2022.
Fitted with a Rototilt, an excavator can reach places that a conventional digger might find difficult and because the machine doesn’t have to move around or shift position as much you are not only saving time but also fuel, as well as minimising track wear and eliminating any potential for damaging or disturbing the ground on which it is operating.
Another bonus is that with the tiltrotator system from Rototilt, fewer machines are needed. With a tiltrotator, you can take on jobs that would otherwise require several different machines, saving on manpower.
"IT IS THAT LOCAL SUPPORT WHICH WE BELIEVE IS IMPORTANT IN THE
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
IN BUYING A ROTOTILT PRODUCT"
The Rototilt design incorporates a cast housing which holds the rotation unit. This is an oil-filled rotor housing cast in a single piece resulting in a strong design at minimum weight. All of the Rototilt units have this design. All are oil-filled for ease of service and long life.
Robust & Reliable
It is that oil-filled cast rotor housing that sets Rototilt tiltrotators apart, making them robust and reliable as well as stronger and lighter than welded alternatives. The advantages of oil are numerous, including continuous lubrication, better heat dissipation, a much longer service life and particle removal, all simplifying maintenance and reducing wear on the key components.
Rototilt tiltrotators are available with QuickChange which allows you to change hydraulic tools safely and automatically without leaving the cab, saving time and fuel. Included with QuickChange is SecureLock, a system that utilises the power of sensors to continuously monitor all elements of the connection, and alert machine operators to any issues as soon as they are detected. For ease of use, it also shows a signal when parts require servicing.
Rototilts can also be supplied with a gripper module. Described as ‘an extra hand,’ it is an efficient picking and handling tool which makes the excavator even more versatile, and can be used for most types of grapple tasks such as pipe laying, paving, light sorting and material handling.
The appointments follow hot on the heels of further expansion in Scotland where Solway Machinery Sales Ltd recently became responsible for providing sales and product support throughout the entire region, having initially covered Southern and Central Scotland, Argyll and Cumbria – and it coincides with continued growth in Europe where Rototilt already has a strong presence
Added Andy Little: “Rototilt Ltd have worked hard over the last five years to ensure our customers no matter where they are in the UK or Ireland have a local distributor to cover not only sales but importantly service and support. It is that local support which we believe is important in the customer experience in buying a Rototilt product.”
