XCMG XE380E

POWER, PRECISION, AND COMFORT IN ONE HEAVY-HITTING PACKAGE

XCMG continues to expand its presence in the UK and European markets with machines designed for real-world performance. The new XE380E crawler excavator is a 39-tonne powerhouse that blends digging strength, fuel efficiency, and operator comfort into one formidable package.

Power and Productivity

At the heart of the XE380E is a Cummins L9 engine producing 252 kW at 1,800 rpm. The 9-litre, turbocharged unit provides smooth, consistent output across demanding site conditions. Its high torque, paired with an intelligent hydraulic system, ensures strong breakout performance with minimal fuel burn.

Twin variable-displacement pumps deliver up to 2x 324 L/min combined flow, driving impressive figures: 268 kN bucket digging force, 190 kN arm force, and a maximum traction force of 298 kN. This makes the XE380E perfectly suited to quarrying, bulk earthworks, and heavy infrastructure projects where reliability and performance are critical.

Built to Last

XCMG’s engineers have reinforced every key structure – from the boom and arm to the undercarriage – to ensure durability under continuous heavy loads. The excavator’s full-size reinforced chassis provides excellent stability and ground pressure distribution, while upgraded swing and travel components reduce wear and extend service life.

A PTO pump comes as standard, allowing independent hydraulic flow control to attachments such as breakers or rotary tools. This means the XE380E is not only powerful but versatile enough to handle multiple tasks on site without compromising precision.

Operator-First Design

Inside the cab, XCMG has made major strides in comfort and ergonomics. The newly designed operator environment is spacious and quiet, featuring adjustable seating, improved visibility, and a modern control layout with centralized switches.

The cab structure meets ROPS and OPG safety standards, ensuring maximum protection for the operator.

Air-conditioning and smart airflow management keep the workspace comfortable through long shifts, while low vibration levels reduce fatigue – an important factor for productivity on long operating days.

Efficiency That Pays

Despite its size, the XE380E is engineered for economical operation. Intelligent electronic control adjusts engine speed and hydraulic output to match load demands, reducing fuel consumption without sacrificing cycle speed.

A 536-litre fuel tank and 65-litre DEF tank allow long operating intervals between refills, while a clean-burn combustion system ensures compliance with the latest emission standards. Operators can choose between Power and Economy modes depending on site conditions – balancing performance and efficiency at the touch of a button.

Easy Maintenance, Proven Support

Routine servicing is straightforward thanks to wide-opening engine covers and ground-level access to filters, pumps, and fluid points. The hydraulic oil tank, fuel tank, and DEF system are clearly marked for quick inspection.

In the UK, XCMG Sales & Services Ltd., based in High Wycombe, provides comprehensive aftersales support, including parts, technical assistance, and field service – ensuring owners get the uptime and confidence expected from a premium machine.

The XCMG XE380E is a modern heavy-duty excavator that delivers everything today’s earthmoving professionals expect: class-leading strength, intelligent hydraulics, operator comfort, and efficiency.

Built for reliability and supported by XCMG’s growing UK network, it’s a machine that proves power and precision can go hand in hand.
