TILTROTATORS

TILTROTATORS ON A NEW LEVEL

More than three decades ago, OilQuick changed the rules of the game for the construction industry. When the Swedish company launched the world’s first fully automatic hydraulic quick coupler in 1993, few could have predicted how much it would redefine the way operators work.

Today, OilQuick remains at the forefront of innovation, still family-owned, still based in Hudiksvall, and still driven by a passion for creating smarter, safer and more efficient solutions.

Over the years, the company has faced countless technical challenges, from optimizing hydraulic systems and refining electronics to perfecting safety protocols. But every obstacle has been met with determination, resulting in a portfolio of products that now set the global standard.

The Next Generation: OilQuick OQTR-E

At the heart of OilQuick’s current lineup stands the OQTR-E tiltrotator, a model designed to deliver maximum flexibility and efficiency for modern excavators.

Equipped with the company’s proven fully automatic quick couplers above and below the tiltrotator, operators can tilt, rotate and switch between buckets or hydraulic tools – all from the comfort and safety of the cab.

This “sandwich” solution means that the tiltrotator itself can easily be detached when maximum breakout force is needed. Whether it’s trenching, grading or handling heavy materials, the operator always has the right tool at the right time. The result is improved precision, faster project completion, and significantly reduced wear and fuel consumption.

“The OQTR-E takes the tiltrotator concept to a completely new level,” says OilQuick’s product development team. “It combines our most advanced automation with field-proven mechanical durability. It’s designed for real job sites, not just test labs.”

Safety First with OQ LockSupport

Safety is a central pillar of OilQuick’s philosophy. On modern job sites attachments are often changed several times per hour, and even a small mistake can cause severe injury or equipment damage.

The OilQuick LockSupport (OQLS) system was developed to eliminate those risks. This intelligent driver support uses sensors to detect both attachment alignment and locking bolt positions, guiding the operator through a secure connection process on a user-friendly touch display.

From a single control panel, the operator can manage the connection both above and below the tiltrotator, while the machine’s hydraulics are automatically activated. OQLS not only exceeds global safety standards, it also provides peace of mind in an industry where precision and reliability mean everything.

Precision in Motion: Grapple Module with OQ Sync

A tiltrotator-integrated grapple is an efficient picking and handling tool that makes your tiltrotator even more versatile. The grapple module has rounded jaws that close completely and is also detachable. It can be mounted and removed quickly and retrofitted onto a tiltrotator with a prepared attachment.

One of OilQuick’s latest innovations is the new grapple module featuring OQ Sync, a precision system that automatically equalizes the grapple jaws every time they close.

Unlike competing solutions that often struggle with uneven loads or misaligned jaws, OilQuick stands apart with technology that ensures perfect symmetry. The jaws always meet tip to tip and every lift stays precisely centered.

This unique system delivers smoother handling, less material wear, and longer tool life. Operators report greater efficiency, reduced manual correction, and a safer, more productive workflow that clearly sets OilQuick apart from the competition.

Innovation That Pays Off

For contractors, time is money – and so is safety. With OilQuick, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical attachments can be switched in seconds without anyone needing to leave the cab.

This not only boosts productivity but also reduces labor costs, minimizes downtime and lowers fuel consumption. Fewer machines are needed on-site, transport costs drop, and the risk of oil spills or contamination is virtually eliminated.

OilQuick’s proven systems are built to last, with protected hoses, enclosed hydraulic connections and materials designed for the harshest conditions. It’s no coincidence that many of the world’s top machine operators consider OilQuick the benchmark in coupler technology.

Global Reach, Local Expertise

OilQuick’s success story extends far beyond Sweden. The company operates in multiple markets worldwide, with subsidiaries across Europe and North America. In 2022, OilQuick Americas opened its own manufacturing facility in Wisconsin to better serve the North American market.

Despite its global reach, OilQuick has stayed true to its roots as a family-owned business built on innovation, quality and long-term relationships. The company continues to collaborate with leading OEMs, providing fully integrated systems for excavators, wheel loaders, material handlers and cranes.

A Legacy of Smart Engineering

After more than 30 years in operation, OilQuick continues to shape the future of construction and material handling equipment. The company’s philosophy remains clear – make every attachment change faster, safer and smarter.

With the new OQTR-E tiltrotator, OQLS safety system and OQ Sync grapple technology, OilQuick once again raises the bar for efficiency and reliability in the field.
