INTRODUCING THE TSS 390T PLUS FROM TEREX ECOTEC

Terex Ecotec®, a global manufacturer of environmental equipment and solutions, proudly presents the TSS 390T Plus Slow Speed Shredder, its latest innovation for the recycling industry. Incorporating exclusive innovations, this single shaft shredder is Built to Handle More, with the ability to process a broader range of materials - delivering greater versatility and more effective shredding.

“The TSS 390T Plus is the result of extensive customer feedback and has been carefully engineered to retain the core design principles that made the TSS 390 successful,” said Conor Hegarty, Business Line Director for Terex Ecotec. “With the addition of advanced new features to meet today’s demanding shredding requirements, the TSS 390T Plus has been rigorously tested across a wide range of applications and is set to create new opportunities in the market.”

The TSS 390T Plus shares all the key features of the TSS 390. These include the in-house–designed shredding chamber with a hydrostatically driven shredding shaft offering full-speed reverse. Combined with customisable shredding programs, this provides improved shaft cleaning in difficult applications, reducing wrappage and optimising throughput. The chamber also features a hydraulically adjustable countercomb, allowing simple adjustment of piece size. The comb can operate in release mode for uninterrupted shredding or in fixed mode for applications where a precise piece size is critical. With double-sided access, chamber maintenance can be carried out with ease, maximising uptime.

However, the key design enhancement to the TSS 390T Plus is the increased chamber clearance. This higher discharge channel (820mm) ensures that large coarse, bulky shredded material can clear the machine with ease. Increased chamber clearance results in increased application flexibility, making the TSS 390T Plus suitable for bulk volume reduction whilst still being able to produce a controlled piece size.

Being designed with bulk volume reduction in mind the TSS 390T Plus comes as standard with an 18 tooth shaft, providing increased torque per tooth tip, which is particularly beneficial for tough applications and coarse shred. However, the optional 36 tooth shaft can be supplied if required.

With improved hopper capacity and geometry, the TSS 390T Plus can easily accept long bulky materials into the shredding chamber improving the material feed process as well as maximising throughput.

An innovative design feature is the quick release product conveyor system. The conveyor can be removed within minutes by a single operator, without the need for tools, improving service access.

The TSS 390T incorporates updated machine styling, with a new colour scheme that reflects and reinforces the branding.

Designed with the operator in mind, the TSS 390T Plus offers the perfect blend of performance, efficiency and serviceability.
