MAGNA LANDS IN EUROPE

The official European launch of MAGNA, Terex’s large-scale crushing and screening equipment range, has been celebrated at the Terex Coalville facility in Leicestershire in collaboration with UK distributor Blue Machinery.

Awesome Earthmovers joined over 60 invited guests to learn more about MAGNA’s product range designed to meet the demands of large-scale operations in the quarrying, mining, construction, and recycling industries.

The MAGNA lineup includes an impressive suite of large-format jaw and cone crushers, alongside a diverse range of screening solutions. These include horizontal screens, trommel screens and scalping screens, as well as three heavy-duty conveyors designed for seamless material handling on high-output sites.

As the authorised distributor for MAGNA across Great Britain, Blue Machinery is leading sales and support for the brand’s extensive product line in the region.

“MAGNA TRULY IS MADE FOR MORE ; WITH EQUIPMENT THAT IS DESIGNED TO HAVE MORE POWER TO HANDLE MORE MATERIAL THROUGHPUT EFFICIENTLY, ENSURING MORE PRODUCTIVITY AND MORE COST-EFFECTIVENESS FOR CUSTOMERS.”

Neil McIlwaine Business Line Director MAGNA

Sean McGreary, Sales Director for Blue Machinery, said: “Hosting this event at Terex Coalville was a fantastic opportunity to bring our customers closer to the heart of manufacturing for the MAGNA brand. Seeing the scale of the facility, meeting the engineering teams, and experiencing the MAGNA range firsthand gave our customers real confidence in the quality and innovation behind these products.

“This launch event was not just about introducing a new brand – it was about building trust and showing the depth of expertise that supports every machine.”

Major Milestone in Business Strategy

Also present on the day was Neil McIlwaine, appointed last year as Business Line Director at MAGNA. He previously worked for Finlay where he completed several successful assignments in China and South Africa to establish and increase Finlay’s distribution footprint and continued growth strategy globally.

“Building on our successful US introduction earlier this year, this launch represents a major milestone in our global growth strategy,” said Neil. “Bringing MAGNA to the UK and European market, supported by Blue Machinery’s extensive parts network and tailored financing solutions, gives customers the confidence and capability to scale their operations. Together, we’re creating a foundation for sustainable, high-volume production.”

The launch day began with an introduction to the MAGNA brand and an overview of the Terex Coalville facility. We learned about the site’s history and recent investments in robotics, advanced tooling, boring and milling machines, and cutting-edge chamber technology, as well as the engineering team’s future development strategy.

A guided plant tour and walkaround gave guests the opportunity to see finished MAGNA products, including the 135-tonne MT130J Jaw Crusher and the MT400C Cone Crusher.

Built for Large Scale Operations

The MT130J is the largest tracked jaw crusher in the MAGNA lineup to date, designed for large-scale operations with a large 13000mm x 1000mm wide opening, high-powered electric drive, and split-transport capability. The machine can operate as a standalone primary crusher or integrated into a mobile or static crushing and screening plant.

Its large feed width and gape enable the crusher to accept larger and coarser material reducing the need for hammering of oversized product, while an automatic variable speed VGF ensures continuous choke feeding of the crushing chamber for optimal productivity.

The MT130J’s high powered electric drive ensures precise chamber controls and reverse functionality for clearing blockages and assisting in a notable range of quarry and mining applications.

For easy transport movement between locations the plant can be split down and re-assembled without the need for heavy crane assistance on site.

One of the other products we got to familiarise ourselves with on the day was the MAGNA MT400C, a high-output mobile cone crusher offering large reduction ratios, automated metal detection, hydraulic adjustment, and fuel-efficient transmission.

Regarded as the ultimate mobile solution for any aggregates producer or contractor looking for a high output capacity machine, this large cone crusher provides large reduction ratios and an excellent cubical shape through a range of liner configurations for secondary and tertiary applications. The large hopper/feeder on the plant has an automated metal detection and a purge system designed to protect the heavy-duty cone crusher and reduce downtime by removing metal contaminants via the purge chute.

Flexible Finance Options from TFS

Terex Financial Services (TFS) was also present at the launch event to explain how its flexible finance options can help customers and distributors invest in new equipment with confidence. By offering tailored funding solutions, TFS makes it easier to manage large-scale purchases and reduce barriers to investment.

“TFS is committed to working with dealers and customers in developing and adding true value to their business and assisting in the acquisition and funding of their Terex equipment,” said Declan North, Managing Director - Terex Financial Services. “We offer global solutions and through a team of dedicated people who understand the needs of dealers and customers we can direct customers to the correct financial solution for their business.”

The range of facilities and services available through TFS include Leasing Solutions, Operating lease Solutions, Fair Market Value lease solutions, Loans/Hire Purchase facilities, Used Equipment Financing and Asset Management.

Significant Growth Potential

Large and robust crushing and screening equipment, of course, is essential for quarries and other operations that require high output and volumes and with the introduction of the MAGNA range in the UK and across Europe those needs are now clearly being well met, in addition to providing significant growth potential for Terex who have long been at the forefront of providing innovative, high-quality equipment solutions.
